Chained in Backrooms Team Ready Checklist

Interactive-style pre-run checklist so your chained party stops wiping to chaos.

How to use this checklist

Treat each box as a verbal confirmation in voice chat. The party leader reads the line; everyone answers yes before you leave the lobby. This is the practical “tool” page for Chained in Backrooms — no downloads, no executors, just structure. Pair it with Team Roles and Level Difficulty. The checklist exists because free co-op (1–8 chained players) fails more often from skipped briefs than from missing jump skill.

Copy the sections into Discord if you want persistent pins. Re-run the full list after wipes that felt unfair; half the time the missing ingredient was a skipped brief. New accounts should finish Section A carefully; veterans can speed-run A–C but should not skip D–E before S-tier nights.

A) Account & freebie readiness

Why this block exists: copycat places and “secret code” scams waste sessions before you even chain up. Confirm the official experience first.

  • Everyone is on the official place: Chained in Backrooms.
  • Everyone joined Musta and Alexander (see Free Rewards).
  • Everyone Liked and Favorited the game.
  • Anyone who just joined the group rejoins the server once to sync.
  • Nobody is waiting on a fake code — Codes Hub shows no active promo codes right now.

B) Comms & vibe

Why this block exists: a silent party cannot call Pull, colors, or rear threats. Typed callouts work if everyone agrees on short phrases before queue.

  • Mic check (or agreed typed callouts if silent play).
  • Meme volume set to “low” during Simon / Boss / Bridge.
  • One primary caller identified (often Front or a designated Middle).
  • Rage rule agreed: two calm sentences after a wipe, then reset — no blame spiral.
  • Break plan: bathroom/snack pauses happen in lobby, not mid-chain.

C) Role lock

Why this block exists: unnamed roles create three Fronts and zero Backs. Say names out loud so Middles and Backs know who they are before the rope appears.

  • Front of chain named (pathfinder, hold calls).
  • Middle named (slack + relay); number Middles in big parties.
  • Back named (rear vision + last-clear).
  • Item Captain named if 5+ players (Items).
  • Everyone can repeat their job in one sentence.

D) Threat & item briefing

Why this block exists: entity pressure plus double-claimed keys cause “unfair” wipes that were actually preventable. Sixty seconds here saves ten minutes of resets.

  • Recap entity tells: audio, flicker, chase rules (Entities).
  • Recap claim language: “I take [key],” “pulling in three,” “parking for arcade.”
  • Agree: no flavor looting during active chase stingers.
  • Agree: only one person pulls unknown levers.
  • Agree: abort interact if Back calls a rear threat.

E) Difficulty plan for this session

Why this block exists: parties that “just see what happens” often burn energy on Glass Bridge while cold. Name a warmup and a stretch goal so expectations match.

  • Warmup target chosen (Maze / Obby or other low tier).
  • Stretch goal named (Glass Bridge, Boss, Simon Says, etc.).
  • Max attempts before swapping Front agreed (example: three).
  • Party size confirmed (1–8) and extras know not to stretch the snake for memes.
  • Someone watches Updates if the place just patched today.

F) Anti-cheat / anti-scam

Why this block exists: one friend with an injector can ban risk the whole vibe and teach nothing about chain skill. Keep the fantasy legit.

  • No random executors. Read Scripts if anyone suggests a “menu.”
  • No password entry on third-party reward sites.
  • No paying Robux to strangers for codes.
  • Report + leave if a public lobby is openly ruining runs with GUIs.
  • Prefer legit clears — that is the whole fantasy of being chained together.

G) Launch countdown (read aloud)

  1. Roles locked?
  2. Mics live?
  3. Freebies synced?
  4. Warmup room first?
  5. Caller ready?

If any answer is no, fix it. If all yes: chain up.

Optional advanced module — S-tier night

Use only when attempting Glass Bridge, Boss, or Simon:

  • Secondary caller assigned for boss telegraphs vs chain slack.
  • Colorblind / visibility needs stated before Simon.
  • Bridge pace rule: Front moves only after Back says ready.
  • Death plan: who announces reset vs clutch.
  • Post-attempt note: write one sentence on why you wiped.

Why checklists beat “we’ll figure it out”

Public lobbies fail because strangers skip briefs. Friend groups fail because they assume familiarity replaces callouts. This Tools Hub page exists to make the brief automatic. After a clean chapter, keep using it — success is when the checklist feels boring. Pair it with Guides when someone needs a deeper mechanic page mid-session instead of inventing callouts on the spot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this an in-game tool or script?

Neither. It is a pre-run checklist you read with your party. No downloads or executors required.

How long should the checklist take?

About two to three minutes once your group knows it. Skip sections only if you truly already confirmed them.

Do we need it for easy Maze rooms?

A shorter version still helps — at least lock roles and mics so bad habits do not form before hard stages.

What if someone wants to use a script instead?

Point them at the Scripts Hub warnings. This checklist is the safe alternative for better co-op clears.
